RECENT CHANGES

Why has your packaging / design changed?

We know that our Surcare products are a great choice especially for those with sensitive skin, but we’re a hidden gem. Only 2% of people have heard of our little brand, so we decided to change our look.

Our new brand is the output of 12 months hard work and we really hope you like it. It was important to give our existing loyal customers a heads up that change was coming which we did with messaging on packs before the launch.

Has the formulation changed?

No, our sensitive formula has remained exactly the same as before. Only our look has changed!

Will the price be affected?

The retail selling price is at the discretion of the supermarkets, but as there have been no changes to pack sizes we don’t foresee any changes in the price of our products.

Why has the Talk Eczema logo been removed?

Our products are absolutely still an ideal choice for people with sensitive skin or conditions such as eczema and we have loved working with Talk Eczema over the years. Our focus continues being to help people with allergies and we will be working more closely with our partner Allergy UK to do this, so watch this space!

Why do you no longer have Loved By Parents awards?

Brands often have to pay to use award logos, and we decided that money would be better spent working more closely with allergy UK and helping people.

Why have your capsules changed to a tub? Isn’t this more plastic?

Whilst our previous packaging contained less plastic it was unfortunately not recyclable, which we didn’t feel comfortable with nor did our customers. So we decided to change to tubs which are fully recyclable.

Are there any household cleaning products available in the Surcare range?

There are currently only laundry and dish wash products available in the Surcare range, but watch this space as our aim is to expand our range in the future. We’d love to hear what Surcare product you’d like to see next!

Are you planning on becoming more sustainable / eco?

Like all brands, Surcare has a responsibility to make the right choices for our customers and the planet. We have an ambition to make steps to offer more sustainable products and will share more when we can!

Is Surcare laundry range suitable for washing babies clothing?

Yes, Just like other non-bio detergents and fabric conditioners, our products don’t contain enzymes which can irritate sensitive or eczema-prone skin. But unlike other products, ours are also free from fragrances, dyes and acids – unnecessary ingredients that aren’t needed to get your baby’s clothes outstandingly clean.

All Surcare products are independently dermatologically tested and approved – so you can be free from worrying about upsetting your baby’s delicate skin.

SENSITIVE SKIN

Will using Surcare cure my eczema?

Using Surcare will not cure sensitive skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis.  Published literature and in-patient evaluation in dermatologist clinics has shown that some perfume and dye ingredients can aggravate skin conditions. For this reason we formulate Surcare without these materials.

Please Note: No effective household detergent can be guaranteed suitable for people with serious skin conditions. If you suffer from unusually sensitive skin, please contact your doctor for advice.

What makes Surcare kinder to skin than other brands?

The Surcare range is specially formulated to wash and condition clothes, towels, bedding etc for people with more sensitive skin. Surcare is non biological (so does not contain enzymes) and free from any dyes, perfumes and acids.  All other ingredients are specially selected to be suitable for sensitive skin.
